Red Wine or Hypnotherapy to Lose Weight?

A new study has found that an ingredient in red wine can help people to lose weight.

Researchers have discovered that resveratrol, which can be found in high concentrations of grapes, berries and red wine, can assist with the weight loss process.
The study, led by Washington State University Professor Min Du, which was published in the International Journal of Obesity, recorded the results of mice digesting the chemical resveratrol.

In the study, the mice being fed resveratrol gained 40 percent less weight than their counterparts, which weren't given any resveratrol.

Commenting on the study, Professor Min Du, advised people to focus on eating blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes and apples, because they all contain resveratrol.
Du also noted red wine can also have the same effects as the fruits when consumed in moderation.

However, Du advised people not to rely on red wine for the ingredient, because many of the beneficial components "are insoluble and get filtered out during the wine production process."

We concur with Professor Du and advise against consuming red wine to lose weight. Alcohol also affects your judgment and you could easily find yourself indulging in other food items which could take you well off your weight loss strategy.

Did you know that hypnotherapy michigan has been proven to be a very effective and comfortable way to lose weight? Hypnosis and hypnotherapy can help you change your relationship with food in several ways.

Building Self-Confidence is a Key to Success and Happiness

Whether it's the quiet confidence of your doctor whose advice you willingly follow to the self assured financial advisor you entrust your money to or the charismatic confidence of a public speaker, we all admire self confident people.

Self-confidence is an essential element in almost every aspect of our lives affecting everything from our careers to our relationships yet many people struggle to gain it. Sad too is the fact that low self confidence can be a vicious circle as negative outcomes, the result of low self-confidence, tend to confirm a person's low self-image thereby lowering self-confidence even further.

Self-confident people, on the other hand inspire confidence in others be it their friends, co-workers, employers or customers.  This confidence increases the level of success the self-confident person enjoys thereby increasing their self-esteem and continuing the process.

If you struggle with low self-confidence, there is good news. Low self-confidence is a learned behaviour and so is self-confidence. The difference is, you didn't set out to learn low self-confidence but you can learn to become more self-confident and, like any other skill, you can practice it and elevate it.

How Self Confident Are You?
  • Do you do what you believe to be right, even with others may mock you or critize you for it or do you change your position and behaviour based upon what others think of you?
  • Do you take risks and view failure as an opportunity to learn and grow or do you fear failure and stay in your comfort zone while enviously watching others go for the brass ring?
  • Do you admit your mistakes and learn from them or do you attempt to cover up your mistakes and hope it will pass or that you can fix it before anyone notices?
  • Are you self satisfied with an accomplishment accepting congratulations from others if it comes or do you fish for compliments relying upon others to validate and raise your sense of worth?
  • When someone does compliment you, do you accept it graciously and fully or do you tend to dismiss or diminish the compliment by suggesting it wasn't that big a deal?
Low self-confidence can be self-destructive and often leads to poorer results and even trouble. Self-confident people on the other hand usually have a more positive outlook and are generally a lot happier in life.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said “No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.” Likewise, relying on others to validate your ability or your worth is sure sign of low self-confidence.  So, how do you begin to build your self-confidence?

The key to building self-confidence is in changing the internal dialog you have about yourself. People with low self-confidence have thoughts like “I'm not good enough” or “I'm not smart enough” or “I always screw things up.”  Negative thoughts like these usually stem from childhood and have an enormous affect on our self-confidence. So do beliefs like “If I fail at something, that will mean I am a failure.”  Just imagine how that belief will affect a persons willingness to take risks.

One way to change the inner dialog to a more positive one is to take stock of your qualities, your talents and accomplishments, jot them down and remind yourself of them every day. Remind yourself every day that the road to success if paved with failures because failure is one of the best ways to improve your knowledge, your skills and your sense of humor. Remember, unconscious negative thoughts can be changed, in time to positive ones by conscious repetition of positive input.

Another, quicker way to effectively eliminate those negative thoughts, beliefs and emotions that lie within your unconscious mind is through Hypnosis and Neuron-Linguistic Programming. These powerful tools work directly on the parts of the mind that store negativity and can help you let go of negative emotions and thoughs that keep your self-confidence down quickly and effectively. Vets Deal With Stress and PTSD - Hypnosis Can Help

On Memorial Day we are reminded that many of our Vets and their familes are dealing with the grief and stress from loss as well as PTSD. This is a time for all of us to provide whatever support we can for the famlies of our Fallen Heroes as well as those returning Heroes who suffer daily from PTSD.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of America's veterans and their families for their service to this great country and to remind everyone that at Happiness Now Hypnosis Michigan we are a member of the Give An Hour Program and donate free hypnotherapy sessions to returning vets who are suffering from PTSD.

If you know a vet might benefit from this service, please contact us and we'll try to get them in right away.

Positive Stress vs Negative Stress - Do I Want Either?

Positive stress, also known as Eustress is the excitement felt by people when they are confronted by a demanding situation, which they think they can handle. People intentionally create Eustress through sports, gambling, business, watching scary movies and riding roller coasters. Eustress is created by the subconscious mind. Negative stress (distress) is also created by the subconscious mind and can sometimes be very appropriate and useful... for example... in an emergency situation.

However, often times, people can experience unwarranted and unnecessary levels of distress when it serves no good purpose and can even make a person less effective. It's often called poor stress management. A person under stress can lose sleep, become distracted and it can even negatively affect their health. The subconscious mind also creates this kind of stress in response to situations that may seem appropriate to it but not to them.

Using NLP and Hypnosis Michigan, we introduce the subconscious mind to alternate, more satisfying, strategies in order to bring the same and even greater benefit. People are surprised and delighted when they discover that situations that used to trigger stress no longer have that affect on them and that the stress is replaced with more desired responses, the kind that can help them reach their goals and succeed. It's good if you can manage stress effectively, it's even better if you can reduce stress significantly or, better yet, get rid of most of it entirely.

Using Hypnosis for Self Esteem Therapy

Self esteem, both high and low, is the exclusive preview of the unconscious portion of your mind and generally speaking is first formed in childhood. While it's true, no parent sets out to instil low self esteem in their child, a child's ability to accurately perceive and understand the world around them is limited and simplistic and, as a result, they can interpret events that may seem insignificant to adults as an indication of their lack of worth.
For example, a child bringing home a paper from school that they are particularly proud of and having their parent ignore it or dismiss it because they were having a bad day can trigger the thought that they aren't good enough to matter to that parent. After all, the child has no way of knowing their mom or dad was having a bad day... so they just feel the rejection.
Once the unconscious mind gets the idea that “I'm not good enough” or “I'm not worthy” or any number of other negative thoughts, those thoughts become beliefs that then become a part of a person's understanding of who they are in relation to the world around them.
Once a belief becomes a part of a person's map of reality, the unconscious mind will begin to filter input they get and will reject esteem building feedback while allowing in and embracing anything negative that reinforces one's belief about them. We all know people who will dismiss a compliment from a friend or co-worker offhand yet will accept and embrace even the hint of criticism. In fact they are capable of misinterpreting neutral or even positive feedback as being negative in order to have it fit their belief of themselves. This process then becomes self fulfilling as they continue to reject all positive feedback while accepting the negative and thereby constantly reconfirming their belief about themselves.
Since this entire process takes place as the unconscious level, Hypnosis Michigan and neuro linguistic programming are quite effective at breaking this cycle and helping you reprogram your unconscious mind in order to let go of those old belief systems while replacing them with new beliefs that celebrate your positive qualities and open you up to accepting the praise that people have been giving you all along.
If you are tired of having low self esteem and are ready to let go of those negative beliefs about yourself and you want to begin enjoying your positive qualities instead, make an appointment today. While I normally recommend 3-6 Hypnotherapy Michigan sessions for most esteem issues, you'll be surprised and delighted how much better you feel about yourself beginning with the very first hypnotherapy session.
